Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic, data-driven team at Making Science | Sweeft. You’ll lead critical data initiatives, build real-time data pipelines, and contribute to a scalable architecture that powers strategic decision-making across the organization.

What we’d like you to do:

• Collaborate closely with all departments to understand and prioritize data and reporting requirements
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance our Single User View
• Advance our real-time event reporting infrastructure
• Support department-specific data and reporting needs
• Build and automate internal CEO-level reporting dashboards using data across all platforms
• Drive a culture of data excellence across the company
• Proactively bring new ideas and data-driven solutions to support company growth
• Ensure all reporting systems function as close to real time as possible
• Lead and mentor a Data Engineer within the team
• Oversee and report on project delivery using Monday.com

What we’d like you to bring:

• 4+ years of experience combining multiple data sources into a central data lake
• 4+ years working with various APIs and platform connectors
• Proven experience building dynamic reporting dashboards
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external technology partners
• Hands-on experience managing other data engineers

Strong proficiency with data tools and technologies including:

• Python
• BigQuery
• Looker dashboards
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Zapier / Make
• Fivetran

Experience integrating with platforms such as:

• Salesforce / Pardot
• Monday.com
• Webhooks and REST APIs (e.g., Inwink event platform)
• GA4
• Wordpress
• Piano.io
